IGF-1 LR3 is a laboratory-modified, longer-acting analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 produced by recombinant methods. It is not an FDA-approved drug and is sold only as a research chemical.
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a modified 83-residue analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 (Arg3 substitution plus a 13-residue N-terminal extension); it has no dedicated PubChem compound record, so formula, molecular weight, and PubChem CID are intentionally omitted, and the on-file CAS 946870-92-4 could not be confirmed against PubChem.
Regulatory status: As of 2026, IGF-1 LR3 is not FDA-approved for any use; recombinant IGF-1 itself (mecasermin) is a separate approved product, and IGF-1 LR3 is not listed on the FDA 503A Category 2 bulk-substances list.

Used chiefly as a cell-culture and in-vitro research reagent for IGF-1 signaling; this is laboratory study and does not indicate a proven effect in people.
